CBT Health Clinic
Your Well-Being is in Good Hands
CBT Health Clinic is a psychological therapy clinic specialising in delivering Cognitive behavioural therapy.
We incorporate both treatment and prevention, by helping you incorporate new knowledge, behaviours and skills which you will be able to use in the future to maintain a healthy well-being.
My name is Katina Thomas I'm a Senior CBT psychotherapist. I am very passionate about my work and always aim to deliver a high standard of treatment using only clinically tested evidence-based treatments to help ensure a successful outcome.
I have worked in the NHS in the mental health field for over 25 years in various roles.
My current role is with the South London and Maudsley Foundation NHS Trust (SLaM)
I have worked in various roles in SLaM for over 17 years. in mental health promotion, Addictions. and Perinatal Mental health. Currently, I thoroughly enjoy my role as a Senior CBT Psychotherapist where amongst other responsibilities I work as a manager, and as a perinatal lead for my service.
I run a successful private clinic at Harley street which enables me to deliver a high standard of treatment in a personalised way.
Experience has taught me that a holistic approach to understanding your difficulties is best, in that it is important to consider the ‘whole’ person. I’m aware that one size doesn’t fit all and so I draw on other evidence-based theories and interventions to tailor the treatment package to meet your individual needs. I am also able to provide treatment collaboratively with my colleagues in gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, and health psychology to further help you to achieve your therapy goals.
I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural psychotherapist, with qualifications in psychology, and psychotherapy working with adults and adolescents.
Here are some of my qualifications and accreditations BSc (Hons) Psy; MSc Child Dev; PgDip Adv CBT;
PgDip CBT; Cert BCT; MBPsS, BABCP
I am fully accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) and I am bound by their professional codes of conduct, performance and ethics.
I am also a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) with professional recognition due to the MBPsP designation, and a member of the Clinical Psychology Division’s (BPS) Perinatal Faculty.
I also sit on the working group for London IAPT Perinatal Leads and I am a member of the Pan London perinatal mental health network.
