About me
My name is Katina Thomas. I'm a Senior CBT psychotherapist. I am very passionate about my work and always aim to deliver a high standard of treatment using only clinically tested evidence-based treatments to ensure a successful outcome.
I have worked in the NHS in the mental health field for over 25 years in various roles.
My current role is with the South London and Maudsley Foundation NHS Trust (SLaM). I have worked in various roles in SLaM for over 18 years in mental health developing expertise in health promotion, addictions, adult mental health and perinatal mental health. I thoroughly enjoy my current role as a Senior CBT Psychotherapist, where amongst other responsibilities, I work as a manager, and a perinatal lead for my service.
I run a successful private clinic, in person and online, Working privately enables me to deliver a high standard of treatment in a personalised way.
Experience has taught me that a holistic approach to understanding your difficulties produces the best results, so I draw on other evidence-based theories and interventions to tailor the treatment package to your individual needs. Where necessary, I can provide treatment collaboratively with my colleagues in gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, and health psychology to further help you achieve your therapy goals.
I am a fully accredited Practitioner with qualifications in psychology and psychotherapy working with adults and adolescents.
